Produced, recorded and mixed in the beautiful Quebec City in the very cold and icy winter of North America.
Chanson deuil (Song of Mourning) is a poetic work signed by the pen of Émile Vigneault (grandson of the great Gille Vigneault) and set to music by the composer and performer Philippe Bourque. The tragic work tells the story of a mother who is unable to cope with the loss of her recently deceased child. Musically speaking, the work transports us directly into the disturbed world of the mother in crisis, who is going through the trials of melancholy, sadness and even rage.
