Winter nights are long, and you can finally find more time for making and producing music. Why not combine the pleasant with the beautiful? Take part in the world's most Christmassy mixing contest – and if your mix sounds like a real treat, you can even win amazing prizes! For the 17th time in a row, we are organising this HOFA CONTEST – for all those who enjoy festive studio work.
Contest song “Blue Silent Night”
Crossover, alternative and pop-rock influences characterise this year's contest song, “Blue Silent Night”. An outstanding female lead vocalist, heavy drums, atmospheric keys, massive guitars and a thick bass are waiting for you to turn them into a convincing mix or remix. It's fun and it's worth it :)

This year there will be prize money of €1,500 twice – for the best mix and for the best remix of our contest song – and also attractive special prizes from our sponsors.

Terms and conditions
Participation in the HOFA XMAS MIX CONTEST is free of charge. All you need is a DAW and fun mixing and remixing.
Mix
You are allowed to trigger drums, to master, copy & paste or even remove individual elements. For the sake of fairness it’s not allowed to add new tracks or to change tempo, pitch or structure of the song.
The jury is looking for harmonious sound characteristics that fit in the genre, with powerful drums and bass, balanced levels and a well-defined spatial depth.
Remix
Your options for the remix are endless: use those tracks of the download you want and add whatever you like. Nothing’s forbidden – but of course the song should still be recognisable and “radio-compatible”. Let your creativity run wild!
When rating the remix, the jury pays attention to creativity, sound quality, sound design, arrangement and balanced proportions.

I like your eq choices but unfortunately the drums don't sound good, The snare drum in particular sounds randomly comedic with this weird fade to the left.. But the balance...
