Thank you for participating in the HOFA XMAS MIX CONTEST! We'd like to give you a short feedback to your contribution.

You have submitted to us a mix that has a rather bright and sharp character. Especially with the Christmas theme, there could also be a little more warmth in the sound image. Let's take a detailed look at the individual elements:
We liked the idea of fading in radio noise at the beginning. However, this could have been faded out a little more harmoniously - it could have extended into the actual intro.
The kick is rather quiet and a little thin, with a lot of attack, which makes it a bit difficult to find a connection to the bass.
Basically, we like the snare sound very much, but it also tends to have too much treble. This is especially noticeable in the rimshot.
We also missed a little more spaciousness on the toms, which are quite dry.
The bass provides a good foundation and rounds off the mix downwards, but with a slightly stronger kick, this task could be even easier for it.
The dobro is also too thin and too bright. There are places where there are resonances in the upper mids, caused by strongly vibrating strings. These places sometimes cause unattractive midrange overemphasis. A little more fundamental tones would be good for this instrument, perhaps also a little more control through the compressor.
The Rhodes could also do with a little more warmth; here, too, the fundamental tones are lacking.
Both elements find it difficult to convey all the harmonic information sufficiently.
The voices also lack basic tones, the main voice sounds a bit lo-fi radio-like at times. However, you have levelled all the voices nicely.
The ad-libs at the end could be a little louder, because they are not really recognisable behind David's main voice.

In the screenshot below, you can see the comparison of the frequencies of your mix (white curves) with our mix (orange curves) in the analyser. The lower curves represent the average energy over time, while the upper curves illustrate the peaks. The volumes of the two mixtures are equalised. To equalise the two mixes, you should lower the level of our mix by 5.5 dB. This refers both to a visual adjustment in the analyser and to an adjustment of the level of the track. This level adjustment is a basic requirement for an objective A/B comparison.
Well recognisable in the curves of the analyser are the rather weakly pronounced upper bass ranges, which make the lack of warmth visible, and the overemphasised upper mids and highs, which make the mix sound rather harsh.

Conclusion
Basically, you've already managed a good mix here. However, you should keep an eye on the overall sound impression and orient yourself to common listening habits. Especially the Dobro is sometimes unpleasant to the ear.
A general recommendation is to listen to similar music again and again during the mix for comparison.
