Eine Fusion aus Spoken Word, Akustikklängen und harten Riffs!

Die Lyrics des Songs beschäftigen sich tiefgehend mit den Unstimmigkeiten in toxischen oder dysfunktionalen zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen und deren Auswirkungen auf die psychosoziale Dynamik des Protagonisten. Die Handlung ist metaphorisch in mathematische, chemische und physikalische Grundbilder verpackt, als würden Naturgesetze hinter dem gefühlten Scheitern des Protagonisten stecken.
Das Scheitern wird im Verlauf des Songs von einer anklagenden Stimme über eine wehklagende bis hin zu einem wutvollen Sprechgesang untermalt.
Im Instrumentalteil vor der letzten Strophe faden zunächst zwei Gitarrenmelodien unisono ein, beschleunigen oder verlangsamen dann ihr Tempo und spiegeln so die Zerrissenheit innerhalb der Gedankenwelt des Erzählers wider. Vor dem Ausbruch der Wut treffen sich die Melodien und symbolisieren das Sammeln und Verarbeiten des lyrischen Ichs.
Die befreiende Wendung von den Trauer- und Verarbeitungsstadien hin zu einer Annahme und Umkehr in positive, hoffnungsvolle Denkweisen ergibt sich, nachdem der Protagonist erkennt, dass jedes Ende von einem Anfang begleitet werden kann, wenn er/sie den Fokus auf das Vorankommen setzt und die Angst vor Verletzungen und vergangenen Erfahrungen überwindet.

We obviously met too early or too late.
I dreamt a handful of minor dreams,
and you dreamt a big one.

But there was not even space
for one other constant in your algorithm,
nor in mine.
And I did not do the math, because if I did,
I would have seen that your solution
was incongruent with mine
at that time and all the times after it.

But you were clumsy and I was boorish,
so we both didn’t mean to,
but hurt ourselves by cherishing a fallacy.
And I crossed out the equations,
but they obviously deleted themselves
every moment of their existency,
falsifying even the existence of the paper
they had been written on.

So this is where the heartbreak began,
this is where the heartbreak began.
I absorbed you with my heroic strength
to overcome my grief,
and you surrounded me, surrounded me to dissolve my problems
in the acidic behavior of caring without self-care.
So you were mindful to fill your mind,
and anesthetize it,
while I tried the same by losing my mind
about something completely different.

So we etched each other,
ending up swimming in a toxic pool
of rusty blunt mechanisms,
causing a slow death by a thousand cuts
at the rough edges of the initially outdated machinery.

We did not find something basic
to connect to the other,
and neutralize corrosive thoughts.

So this is where the heartbreak began,
this is where it began to break up.
Break up like a corpse full of maggots
feeding on dead flesh memories.
Break up like a cocoon full of imagination and beauty.

Still, you could slay me,
and that is a fact, because a heart does not break
without giving it the chance to shatter
from a drop from high dreamt potential.
But this potential has to be built,
and in the end, it doesn't make any rational sense to build it...
unless you decide to build it
at the top of your fundamental thoughts.

So: "What if you fall" is not a question I am drawn to anymore!
